Rajiv Maliwal is independent director at Praj Industries

Bio-fuels solutions provider Praj Industries has appointed Rajiv Maliwal, managing director of Sabre Capital, as an independent non-executive director to its board.

Maliwal brings has experience in investments and managing large businesses in the financial services industry, a press release issued said.

Prior to starting Sabre Capital, he was the managing director and global head of private equity and e-Commerce businesses of Standard Chartered Bank.

Maliwal is currently the chairman of the Spring Healthcare Fund, a Sabre Capital initiative in the healthcare services industry and serves on the boards of several portfolio companies, the statement said.
