S Pushkar to head Hitachi Data Systems' western India ops

Hitachi Data Systems, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hitachi Ltd, today said that it has appointed S Pushkar as its Regional Director for Western India.         

Pushkar will be responsible for the company's overall business growth and will lead the enterprise, mid-market and channel teams in the western region, a press release issued here said.         

He will work closely with the Hitachi alliance partners such as Sun, Wipro, HCL, Apara and the Tier 2 channel to implement a comprehensive market coverage strategy, the release said.         

"The western region is a huge market for Hitachi Data Systems and with Pushkar's appointment, we are reinforcing our focus on constantly delivering flexible and optimised storage for better TCO and efficiency across the finance and media industries in the region," Hitachi Data Systems' Vice-President and India Managing Director, Natarajan Viswanathan, said.
