The slowdown in the IT industry is likely to continue at least until June, Atul Nishar, founder and chairman, Hexaware Technologies, said.

"The worst is likely to come out in the next two to three months, and then it will take about a year for the technology industry to pick up again," Nishar said, referring to the crisis in the US financial sector.

While Hexaware has not witnessed any postponement of projects by existing clients in last two months, new deals are not being finalised, he said.

Nishar refused to comment on whether Hexaware would meet its earnings guidance or lower its projections in the near future.
