Smartur to offer its learning tool to 2000 schools

Smartur, a Hyderabad-based start-up providing digital content solutions to schools and students, is planning to offer 'Smartur 3D', its new experimental learning tool, to over 2, 000 schools in India during the current financial year, said founder and chief executive Neeraj Jewalkar.

"Built using the augmented reality technology, Smartur 3D is currently being piloted in a couple of schools in Hyderabad," he told mediapersons .

The company had spent close to $1 million (approximately Rs 6 crore) in developing Smartur 3D. The product, launched in March 2014, is being used by schools in over 20 countries, including 500 schools in the US.

The school-focused product provides real life models covering science topics from class 6 to 12.
