Tata AIG Life appoints Suresh Mahalingam as Managing Director

Tata AIG Life Insurance Company, the joint venture between Tata group and American International Group today said that it has appointed Suresh Mahalingam as Managing Director of the company effective from June 1.     

The appointment is, however, subject to regulatory approvals, a release here stated.     

Mahalingam was the Chief Operating Officer of Tata AIG Life prior to this appointment.     

Based in Mumbai, Mahalingam will be responsible for managing the operations of Tata AIG Life in India and driving all business and market development activities, the release said.     

He will succeed Trevor Bull who is moving to a senior position overseas with the American International Group (AIG).
