Tata Teleservices Q3 loss widens to 45 cr

Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) net loss increased 64.32 per cent to Rs 45.07 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2008, as compared to a net loss of Rs 27.43 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
Total income has increased 12.27 per cent to Rs 515.86 crore.

The subscriber base has grown 41 per cent to 6.6 million, as compared to the same quarter a year ago.

In the nine month period, the revenue has crossed Rs 1,500 crore for the first time, said the company in a statement.

The company, which rolled out its network in an additional 127 towns in Maharashtra during the quarter, has registered a foreign exchange loss of Rs 9.59 crore in the quarter as against Rs 6.84 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
