TCS, India's largest IT services provider was recognised as an exceptional performer across nine categories— talent strategy, workforce planning, on-boarding, learning & development, performance management, leadership development, career and succession management, compensation and benefits, and culture.

This accolade in the US represents one of 24 countries across the world - and in four continents - where TCS has earned a Top Employer certification in 2016. One in only eight global organisations has earned such global recognition.

"Optimal employee offerings and HR best practices ensure that people develop themselves personally and professionally," David Plink, Top Employers Institute CEO, said.

"This enables companies to grow and develop, maximize organizational performance and hire top talent. Our comprehensive research concluded that Tata Consultancy Services provides an outstanding employee environment and offers a wide range of creative initiatives - from benefits and learning and development opportunities to well-thought-out career management programs - that are truly aligned with the company's culture,” he added.

The Top Employers certification is awarded to a select group of employers who demonstrate forward-thinking HR practices, exceptional employee offerings and an employee environment that promotes personal, professional development.

Besides, TCS, the other top employers in the United States of America include, BSH Home Appliances Corporation, Chiesi USA Inc, DHL, Dimension Data, Faurecia USA Holdings Inc, JT International USA, Orange Business Services, Saint Gobain, Technip North America and Valeo USA.

"Each of these organizations demonstrated a forward- thinking Human Resources environment that is continuously working to optimise its employee conditions and leading the way in the development of its people," the institute added.

Established in 1991, the Top Employers certification is designed to identify and recognise the world's leading organisations in the field of HR management and employee conditions. The award of the certification is based on an industry-leading research methodology, conducted by the Top Employers Institute and audited by Grant Thornton.
