Time to drive your car into a beauty clinic

Move over getting beauty treatment for pets, it’s time to drive cars into to beauty clinics.

With an increasing number of people willing to shell out big bucks to get beauty treatment for their cars, many are smelling a business opportunity.

While Surat-based Carz Spa, a car beauty clinic is expanding its presence across India, Secunderbad-based car wash equipment company, Marvel CarWash Equipment Pvt Ltd is planning to roll out a chain of car beauty clinics in the next six months.

Carz Spa, a car detailing centre run by Surat-based Fortune Multiple Services Pvt. Ltd, offers various beauty therapies to protect your car from germs, dust, ultra violet (UV) rays, scratches, paint preservation using modern technology.

"Just like human skin a car also loses its lusture and shine due to sun light and UV rays. There is a range of treatments to protect cars including using polymer paint sealent, which creates slippery, slick barrier that protects the paint finishes, reduces fading and oxidation of paint,” says Anckur N. Sama, Director, Fortune Multiple Services.

The car spas use steam vapor therapy to give car's exterior a sparkling new look and flush out dust as well as kill germs and bacteria from inside the car.

" So far, we have treated more than 4,000 cars in India. These cars include both mid-size and luxurious cars," said Sama.

While the company has CarzSpa franchisees in 11 cities, including Surat, Baroda, Vapi, Nasik, Goa, Delhi, Bhopal, Jalandhar and Ludhiana, Marvel CarWash Equipment is planning to open franchisee outlets across the country.

Marvel CarWash, which has offices in Secunderabad and Texas, USA, already runs a chain of car wash centers called "Car Bath" and has outlets in cities such as Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai.

Considering the business potential, many more players are likely to enter the car beauty clinic space, the official added.
