Ahmedabad-based power generation company, Torrent Power Limited has registered net profits of Rs 339.6 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2011 up nearly 18 per cent from Rs 287.96 crore recorded in the corresponding period last year.
However, the company's net sales for the period have declined to Rs 1,565.62 crore from Rs 1,704.44 crore, showing a decline of over 8 per cent.
For the financial year 2010-11, the company has achieved net sales of Rs 6,535.64 crore against Rs 5,823.21 crore in 2009-10, up 12.23 per cent. Meanwhile, the net profits for the full year rose from Rs 836.55 crore in 2009-10 to Rs 1,065.72 crore in 2010-11, showing a rise of 27.39 per cent.
