TVS Motor domestic two-wheeler sales up by 21.6 %

Scooter sales up by 28.3 %, while Motorcycles up by 20.7 %

Two-wheeler major TVS Motor has reported a 21.6% growth in domestic sales during the month of April 2016. Company's sales rose to 197,692 units from 162,516 units, a year ago.

Scooter segment reported a 28.3% growth to 63,341 units from 49,375 units, while Motorcycles grew by 20.7% to 90,491 units from 74,953 units.

Total two-wheeler sales up by 19.5% to 222,350 units from 186,041 units, a year ago.

Two-wheeler exports rose by 4.8% to 24,658 units in April 2016 from 23,525 units, a year ago.

Three-wheeler sales dropped to 4,746 units in April 2016 from 9,896 units.

Total sales of the company rose to 16% during the month of April 2016 to 227,096 units as compared to 195,937 units, a year ago.
