United Breweries (Holdings) today said it appointed V Shashikanth as its Managing Director following the resignation of Harish Bhat from the post.
"The Board of Directors at its meeting held on August 14, 2013, have appointed V Shashikanth as MD of the company with effect from August 21, 2013, for a period of three years," United Breweries (Holdings) said in a filing to the BSE.
Bhat, who was appointed as MD from August 20, 2010, for a period of three years, has ceased to hold the position with effect from close of business hours on August 20, it added.
"Bhat has also resigned as a director of the company," according to the filing.
