UPSMA asks for extension on sugarcane dues
The matter is scheduled to come up for hearing on June 16.
On May 15, the Supreme Court had granted a 4 week period to the state sugar mills for clearing the entire 2007-08 season.
This period expires on June 12. The Association says that sugar prices have come down in last one month and mills continue to face cash crunch.
