Chhattisgarh's COVID-19 count increased to 10,05,357 on Thursday with the addition of 32 new cases, while one fresh death pushed the toll to 13,566, an official said.
The recovery count reached 9,91,491 after 5 patients were discharged from hospitals and 11 others completed home isolation during the day, he said. The state now has 300 active cases.

Maharashtra reported 3,063 new COVID-19 cases and 56 fresh deaths on Thursday, taking the infection tally to 65,50,856 and the toll to 1,39,067, a health department official said.
The official said with 3,198 getting patients discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, the number of recovered cases rose to 63,71,728.
Maharashtra now has 36,484 active cases. The state has 2,45,427 people in home quarantine and another 1,423 in institutional quarantine, according to the official. He said Maharashtra's COVID-19 recovery rate is 97.27 per cent, while the fatality rate is 2.12 per cent.

Mumbai city on Thursday reported 458 new coronavirus positive cases, while seven persons died due to the infection, the civic body said.
With this, its cumulative case tally rose to 7,42,996 and death toll to 16,110, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said in a statement.

Nearly 890 million COVID-19 vaccine doses have so far been administered in the country, the Union health ministry said on Thursday.
More than 5.8 million vaccine doses were administered on Thursday till 7 pm.
The daily vaccination tally is expected to increase with the compilation of the final reports for the day by late night, the ministry said.

Tamil Nadu added 1,612 new Covid-19 infections on Thursday, pushing the overall tally to 26,63,789, while 28 more deaths took the toll to 35,578, the health department said.
Recoveries marginally eclipsed new infections with 1,626 people getting discharged in the last 24 hours, aggregating to 26,11,061 leaving 17,150 active infections, a medical bulletin said.

Goa's coronavirus caseload rose by 113 and reached 1,76,431 on Thursday, while two more patients succumbed to the infection in the state, a health department official said.
The death toll increased to 3,314 with the addition of two fatalities, he said.

Telangana on Thursday reported 214 fresh COVID-19 infections, taking the cumulative count to 6.65 lakh, while the toll rose to 3,918 with two additional fatalities.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) accounted for the most number of cases with 64, followed by Karimnagar 16 and Nalgonda 13, a state government bulletin said.

Jammu and Kashmir recorded 110 fresh Covid cases, taking the infection tally to 3,29,430 on Thursday, while no new fatality was reported in the Union Territory in the past 24 hours, officials said.
Out of the 110 fresh cases, 26 were from the Jammu division and 84 from the Kashmir division, the officials said.
Srinagar district recorded the highest number of 45 cases followed by 15 cases in Baramulla district.

Karnataka on Thursday reported 933 new cases of COVID-19 and 14 deaths, pushing the total number of infections to 29,76,000 and death toll to 37,794, the health department said.
The day also saw 704 discharges, taking the total number of recoveries to 29,25,397.
Bengaluru Urban accounted for 291 fresh cases, as the city saw 172 discharges and 5 deaths.

The hotel industry is expected to clock at least 45-50 per cent of pre-Covid revenues in this financial year as demand has recovered sharply post the second wave of the pandemic aided by easing of restrictions during the July-September period, according to a report.
"The hotel industry is expected to clock at least 45-50 per cent of pre-Covid revenues in FY22. Further operating profits in the current fiscal will be aided by improved operating leverage and sustenance of some of the cost-optimisation measures undertaken last fiscal," Icra Assistant Vice President and Sector Head Vinutaa S said.

There appears no respite from Covid in Kerala as on Thursday, 15,914 people turned positive after 1,03,871 samples were tested in the past 24 hours while the test positivity rate also went up to 15.32 per cent, a statement said.
The statement from Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan also said that 16,758 people turned negative, while the total number of active cases was 1,42,529, out of which 12 per cent patients are in hospitals.

The total coronavirus cases in Andhra Pradesh went past the 20.50 lakh mark as the state added 1,010 afresh on Thursday.
The state also reported 1,149 recoveries and 13 deaths in the 24 hours ending 9 am on Thursday, the latest bulletin said.
The total coronavirus positive cases now increased to 20,50,324 and the recoveries to 20,24,645.

Kerala on Thursday logged 15,914 fresh COVID-19 cases and 122 deaths, which took the caseload to 46,80,885 and the toll to 25,087.
The number of people who recovered from the infection since Wednesday was 16,758, which brought the total recoveries to 45,12,662 and the number of active cases to 1,42,529, an official press release said.
As many as 1,03,871 samples were tested in the last 24 hours, it said.

Mizoram reported 1,741 new coronavirus infections on Thursday, taking the number of active cases to 16,841, officials said.
Among the new patients were 304 children, they said.
One more person died of COVID-19 in the state in the last 24 hours, pushing the toll to 307.

As many as 30 medical students of civic-run KEM Hospital in Mumbai have tested positive for COVID-19, a BMC official said on Thursday.
One of the MBBS students, who has mild symptoms of the infection, has been admitted to SevenHills Hospital for treatment, said the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) official.

Delhi on Thursday recorded zero death due to Covid-19 and 47 fresh cases with a positivity rate of 0.06 per cent, according to data shared by the city health department.
Five fatalities due to the coronavirus infection have been reported this month one each on September 7, September 16 and September 17, and two on September 28, according to official figures.
The death toll due to the coronavirus infection in Delhi stands at 25,087.
