The Supreme Court Friday agreed to hear a plea filed by Nagaland government which has raised questions over the functioning of Lokayukta in the state.
A bench headed by Chief Justice S A Bobde issued notice on the plea filed by the state government.
Issue notice returnable two weeks, the bench, also comprising Justices A S Bopanna and V Ramasubramanian, said in its order.

A commercial block and a fully-automated multi-level parking facility will be constructed above an underground metro station that will be built as an interchange facility between two corridors of the phase four project of the DMRC, officials said.
The station Nabi Karim will be an integrated complex connecting Janakpuri WestR K Ashram Marg corridor and the proposed InderlokIndraprastha corridor of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed for the project on Friday between DMRC's Managing Director Mangu Singh and NDMC Commissioner Gyanesh Bharti.

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday congratulated ace sprinter Dutee Chand for getting recommended to receive the Arjuna Award.
Sprinter Dutee, Shutler Satwik Sairaj Rankireddy, cricketer Ishant Sharma and shooter Manu Bhaker are among the 27 athletes who will be conferred with Arjuna Award on August 29 at the National Sports Awards ceremony.
The Chief Minister said that Odisha is proud of Dutee's achievement.
"Congratulate ace sprinter from #Odisha, Dutee Chand on being recommended to receive prestigious Arjuna Award. Odisha is proud of your achievement," the chief minister tweeted.

The Uttar Pradesh Startup Fund is fast gaining traction and will soon start disbursing growth capital to the state-based entities.
The fund has garnered interests from the country's leading alternative investment funds, including venture funds, a government spokesman said here on Friday.
The spokesman added that SIDBI, the designated fund manager for the fund, has so far received four applications from AIFs for an aggregate amount of Rs 285 crore to create the initial corpus.
The decision on these applications will soon be taken by SIDBI and the Startup Nodal Agency in its first Venture Capital Investment Committee (VCIC) meeting scheduled to be held this month, he said.

Two Mumbai police officials on Friday visited the residence of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput in Bandra.
Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh had on Thursday said, "Of course, we will cooperate", when asked if they will cooperate with Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) team investigating the Sushant Singh Rajput Death case.
The CBI team reached the Bandra Police Station for further investigation in the Rajput death's case on Friday. Earlier today, the CBI team brought an unidentified person related to the case, to the guest house where they are staying, for questioning.

Six persons were rescued after a fire broke out at a seven-storey commercial building in south Mumbai on Friday afternoon, officials said.
Smoke filled up 'Raj Gour' building outside Masjid Bunder Station (east) as the fire started around 2 pm, said a Fire Brigade official.
At least five fire engines reached the spot and the flames were doused within forty-five minutes, he said.

The rupee on Friday perked up 18 paise to end at 74.84 against the US dollar, tracking gains in domestic equities and some easing in global crude oil prices.
At the interbank forex market, the Indian currency traded between a high of 74.84 and low of 74.96 during the session. The rupee eventually closed at the day's peak at 74.84, gaining 18 paise over the greenback.
On weekly basis, the rupee advanced 6 paise against the US dollar.
The dollar index, which gauges the greenback's strength against a basket of six currencies, rose 0.17 per cent to 92.95.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a red alert of extremely heavy rainfall in six districts of Madhya Pradesh, even as downpour continued in several parts of the state on Friday.
As per the alert, which will be valid till Saturday morning, extremely heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places in Hoshangabad, Jabalpur, Betul, Narsinghpur, Seoni and Harda districts.
Apart from this, the IMD also issued an orange alert of very heavy rainfall at isolated places in 12 districts, including Vidisha, Ujjain, Chhindwara and Panna.
