Mysore station to get security apparatus

Launched the new CCTV system at the Mysore Station for dissemination of rail-related information and other safety alerts

Railways will shortly launch an integrated security surveillance system at the Mysore Railway Station at a cost of Rs 2.5 crore.

It will address various security-related issues at the station that's aimed at zero tolerance towards possible gaps in security preparedness of the Railways, South Western Railway Divisional Manager Rajkumar Lal said today.

He launched the new CCTV system at the Mysore Station for dissemination of rail-related information and other safety alerts.

Besides entertainment segment. A total of thirty 32-inch LED TVs have been installed at various locations at the station, including the main concourse, waiting rooms, reservation office, among other places, for the benefit of rail passengers. Arrival and departure time and relevant platform number will be regularly telecast using the URL of the Railways for providing accurate information to the public.

Bangalore Srishti Communications Kumar, the licensee for the CCTV contract, explained its features.

Additional DRM Rakesh Kumar Gupta, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager. K Anil Kumar, Senior Divisional Engineers Soundarrajan, and C.M.Ranganath, Sr. Divisional Finance Manager L.V.Dudam, Sr.Divisional Finance Manager and Sr. Divisional S&T Engineer Sourabh Verma were present.
