BJP MP Subramanian Swamy on Saturday continued to target Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, asking him to come clean on how he got admission to IIT Kharagpur.
Distributing copies of the records of information sourced through RTI on the issue, Swamy, at a press meet here, said the response "it's not available" was received on a question on the basis Kejriwal entered the BTech programme and his All India Rank in any competitive entrance exam such as JEE etc.
"In IIT Kharagpur right from 1952 to 2005 there was a practice to fill in seats that fall vacant after some candidates leave the course. Those seats was filled in by candidates close to the managing board of the IIT. Kejriwal's father worked with the Jindal Group in a top position. I wish to ask him to come clean on how he got admission in IIT Kharagpur," he said.
"He (Kejriwal) often says he is not a product of privilege, but if that be the case, we wish to know on which basis did he get admission to IIT," asked Swamy.
