She said the increasing prices of steel, fuel and cement are being reflected in inflation figures which has touched the 11.05 per cent mark while the actual figure is just 6 per cent.
Talking to reporters after a meeting with Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) chief Jai Prakash Agwaral, Dikshit said rising prices are a global issue and efforts are being taken to ensure food items at affordable rates.
Ahead of the Assembly polls, the party organisation and Delhi government today posed a united face and ruled out any differences within.
"The progress report of the government was evaluated today and the office bearers were happy with its work. The areas where gaps exist are being filled in," Agarwal said.
At the meeting, party workers discussed regularisation issue of unauthorised colonies, delay in voter-cards preparation, poor situation in hospitals and the BSP's bid to make its electoral foray in the capital.
Dikshit also echoed similar views and said the government is working for welfare of all sections of society.
Indicating that the party has got into the poll mode, Aggarwal said another meeting will be convened soon with party MPs, MLAs and corporators to discuss election issues.
