Das loyalists quit Congress

A Congress spokesman said the move did not come as a surprise to the party as Das, a former Lucknow mayor, had himself distributed tickets to the corporators and "obliged loyalists." The district and city Congress unit members had also resigned following Das' decision to quit the party.
