The institute has an intake of more than 2,000 students annually at its campuses based in Pune, Mumbai, Bangalore, Dubai and Singapore.
Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, EMDI Director Girish Kulkarni said, "There is an increasing requirement of professionals in event management, advertising and public relations. We at the institute provide on-field experience to our students.
The institute has organised a number of national event where students have actually worked. The Commonwealth Youth games happening in Pune this year and the Commonwealth Games shceduled in New Delhi next year, will provide a hands-on experience to our students."
The institution plans to start operations in Hyderabad and New Delhi from next year onwards.
