Haryana State Cooperative Supply and Marketing Federation has ventured into the markets of southern states of the country and appointed a distributor for marketing its popular consumer brand of products in Bangalore.
An official spokesman said here today that the first consignments of consumer products had already been dispatched.
Hafed's basmati rice, non basmati rice, Kachchi Ghani Mustard Oil, Refined Soyabean oil, refined cottonseed oil, branded sugar, desi wheat, organic wheat and organic desi wheat atta were already quite popular in the existing markets of Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Delhi, West Bengal, Orissa and Jammu and Kashmir.
With the introduction of its products in Bangalore, Hafed had started implementing its plans to cover the potential South Indian Market for marketing its products, especially basmati rice, he said.
