Himachal Pradesh is eagerly awaiting the Indian Premier League (IPL) matches, as Dharamshala gears to host a couple of them.

Two IPL matches one between Kings XI Punjab and Deccan Chargers and the second between Kings XI Punjab and Chennai Super Kings are scheduled to be organised in Dharamshala on April 16 and April 18 respectively.

Anticipating a huge rush, the tourism officials believe the event is likely to give fillip to tourism in the state. Director tourism, HP, Arun Sharma said the state was looking forward for the event that could provide impetus to the tourism industry.

The director tourism further said to get feedback from the visitors, the tourism department was planning to conduct an empirical study to get a feedback from the tourists. The tourism department has hired around 150 students to take the feedback from the tourists visiting Dharamshala for the IPL matches. The feedback would help the department understand the requirements and expectations of visitors
