Kashmiri origin CEOs call for strong ties for development

A group of chief executive officers (CEOs) of Kashmiri origin have called for stronger economic engagement in Jammu and Kashmir and a reform-driven public- private partnership.

The group, which recently met in New Delhi, also stressed that a larger “focus on education and IT will drive increased participation of the younger generation in the reconstruction of the state”.

The CEOs discussed various ways and means to begin “stronger economic engagement in the region to reduce the economic and social gap as well as a reform-driven private public partnership”.

The meet, held on September 26, was attended by a host of entrepreneurs and government ministers.

Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand, Agriculture Minister G H Mir, former Union Minister Saifuddin Soz along with Anshuman Magazine, Chairman and Managing Director of CB Richard Ellis, Vice Chairman and CEO of CMS Rajiv Kaul, Haseeb Drabu, Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Bank including others attended the meet.
