He will also meet US Commerce Secretary Carlos M Gutierrez and Senator Max Baucus to apprise them of India's concerns on the agriculture and non-agriculture market access (Nama) draft texts released in May.
This visit comes against the backdrop of the possibility of a mini-ministerial meeting of trade ministers in Geneva by the end of June or first week of July.
Meanwhile, farm leaders in India will discuss the draft text on agriculture on June 11. Orgainsed by Unctad and Forum for Biotechnology and Food Security, the event will be attended by 25 farm leaders, including Bharatiya Kisan Union chief Mahendra Singh Tikait, KS Puttanaya, Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha, and Vijay Jawandhia, Shetkari Sangthan, Maharashtra.
