NTPC to triple capacity addition

NTPC Ltd, the country’s largest power generator, is planning to more than triple its annual power capacity addition to 3,300 Mw in 2009-2010, the company announced today. The company had added around 1,000 Mw capacity in the last financial year.

NTPC has an installed power generation capacity of around 30,000 Mw and plans to add over 22,400 mw of capacity in the current Plan period.
