The Orissa government has constituted an advisory committee consisting of experts in the field of marine bio-technology to guide it in the development of marine bio-technology sector in the state.
This committee will recommend the state government on the manner in which the potential for growth and development of marine bio-technology could be realised.
It will also specifically recommend the process of setting up of the marine bio-technology park in Ganjam district.
Besides, it will suggest the activities that will be taken up in the marine bio-technology park, official sources said.
Secretary in the science and technology department of the Orissa government is the chairman of the advisory committee.
