Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was discharged from the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) here today and has resumed normal work. But sources in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) say a final decision on his second heart bypass operation will be taken over the weekend. He underwent the first operation in Britain around two decades ago.

Given the PM’s medical condition, many of his engagements, including today’s Cabinet meeting, have been cancelled. If he has to undergo a surgery, he will not be able to attend the Republic Day parade.
