While reviewing the electricity related works in the state yesterday, Raje said her government has set a target to the power companies to issue 1.50 lakh agriculture connections this year.
The Chief Minister also stressed the need for completing the work relating to issuing domestic electricity connections in Dhanis and also under Kutir Jyoti Yojana in stipulated time period.
In the meeting, it was informed that the work regarding disposal of applications of pending 1.50 lakh agriculture connections in 2008-09 has been started.
A programme has been prepared to provide all the agriculture connections pending up to 31st March, 2003 by this year.
Under this, demand notices have been issued to 56,927 applicants. Of these, 31,093 demand notices have been deposited and more than 2,500 connections issued.
Besides, the process of disposal of 60 thousand applications for agriculture connections received during the tenure of the present government have also started.
