Disclosing this here on Wednesday, Punjab Finance Minister Parminder Singh Dhindsa said the target fixed under the ambitious Jan Dhan Scheme would be achieved up to November 2014. He said this flagship scheme was launched under the instructions from Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal.
He said the state government has mobilised all its resources to sensitise the public to open bank accounts.

The Minister further said after dividing the state into regions and clusters, Nodel officers for each segment have been deputed.
He said after accessing the feasibility and necessity Aadhar Card machines have also been installed in various regions.
He said the information of Aadhar cards have also been incorporating into the bank accounts.
"The bank accounts for the unbanked households would be opened soon" Dhindsa said.
