Repolling began today morning in two polling booths of Kerala where polling for the assembly elections on April 13 was disrupted due to certain faults detected in Electronic Voting Machines.
The repolls are being held in booth number 118 (VCM Aided Lower Primary School, Vallappuzha) in Pattambi assembly constituency in Palakkad district and booth number 88 (FAS Auditorium, Koodappuzha) in the Chalakkudy assembly segment.
According to Election Commission sources, about 25% polling was recorded till 11 am in Vallappuzha and 40% in Chalakkudy.
Repoll was ordered in the Vallappuzha booth after it was found that BJP's 'lotus' symbol was found pasted against the name of the Congress candidate, while in Chalakkudy, the names of 27 voters were found missing from the electronic database.
