Sena candidate held for luring voters in Kudal, released

Shiv Sena candidate from Kudal-Malwan constituency Vaibhav Naik was today arrested for allegedly violating the model code of conduct by luring voters with money.

Naik, who is pitted against Maharashtra Industries Minister Narayan Rane, along with his 15 supporters, was caught with Rs one lakh in cash, police said.

Hockey sticks and pamphlets were also seized from Naik's vehicle, they said.

Naik was arrested under various IPC Sections and also under Section 126 of Representation of People Act. He was later released on bail.
