Sule inherits Baramati

The NCP on Tuesday declared the candidature of party president Sharad Pawar’s daughter Supriya Sule for Pawar’s pocket borough of Baramati Lok Sabha constituency. The announcement was made by NCP General Secretary Tariq Anwar in New Delhi.

This is being seen as part of the party’s attempt to put pressure on the Congress for an early formalisation of the seat-sharing arrangement between the two parties.
