With the meeting of the Rehabilitation and Peripheral Development Advisory Committee (RPDAC) on Thursday set to finalize the compensation package for Posco, the company has planned to start construction work on the project soon.

“Posco India has planned to start construction work on the project and rehabilitation colony in the project area with the cooperation of the villagers. The declaration of Posco package would change the minds of protesters”, said Dong Ho Oh, general manager (planning) of the company.

Prior to the impending RPDAC meet, Posco India had organized an interaction with media persons at Jagatsinghpur on Tuesday. During the interaction, Oh said that the minds of the affected people would change after the declaration of the compensation package.
