The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) as declare the results of the Join Entrance Examination (JEE) (Main) 2017 paper 1 on Thursday. The results are now available on the CBSE website here. Click on JEE Mains Results Declared link on the page.

Candidates can also log directly onto the CBSE website (http://cbseresults.nic.in/) with his roll number and date of birth. 

The results declared today include All India Rank and Category rank for paper 1. Results JEE Main paper 2 will be released on 27 May, 2017. The result declared today include the candidate’s score and rank card and whether she is eligible to appear in the JEE Advance 2017 exam.

This year around 10.2 lakh students appeared in JEE Mains exam held on 2 April, 2017.

Today’s results also includes the list of top two lakh candidates eligible for JEE Advanced. Merit will be decided according to the marks obtained in mathematics and physics and will be based on a ratio of positive to negative marks. A candidate with a higher absolute value of the ratio will be given a higher rank.

CBSE also released the JEE Main cut-off today. The cut-off will be available via online mode on the official site. The cut-off marks will be set according to the categories, candidates appeared and difficulty level of the exam. Based on these results top 2.20 lakh candidates will be selected to appear in the second stage of JEE exam - JEE Advanced.

Admission to the NITs, IIITs, government and several private colleges are based on the JEE rank list. Counselling will be scheduled after All India Rank list is declared. Beside this list, a rank list for each category will be released separately.

JEE Advanced 2017 Registration

Candidates must score 75% marks for Gen/OBC categories & 65% marks SC/ST/PwD in 12th or equivalent class to be able to appear for JEE Advanced. The JEE advanced 2017 registration starts from 28th April, 2017 and goes on till 2nd May, 2017. JEE Advanced is conducted for admission to B.tech/B.E/integrated M.tech programmes offered by the IITs and ISM. Admit cards for JEE Mains will be available from 10-21 May, 2017. JEE Advanced (Paper-1 and Paper-2) will be held on 21 May, 2017 (9 – 12 pm & 2 – 5 pm).
