AAP trails behind even NOTA in Madhya Pradesh

Party gets 265,011 votes so far, or 1.2% of the total votes; NOTA has 1.4% or 305,806 votes

Aam Admi Party has received even less votes that NOTA (None of the Above) option so far.

According to data of chief electoral office Madhya Pradesh, Aam Admi Party has received 265,011 votes so far which is 1.2% of the total votes while NOTA has received 1.4% or 305,806 votes. There are more than 48 million male and female voters in Madhya Pradesh. There are 1,054 other-category voters too.

The counting of votes is in progress with BJP having clocked 54.7% or 12,141,686 votes, while its main rival the Congress has received 34% or 7,749,074 votes so far.

AAP candidate from Bhopal Rachna Dhingra, who has been active in Bhopal for the past several years and is fighting for the rights of Bhopal gas tragedy survivours as a social activist, has so far received 8,674 votes against 316,968 votes going to “a lesser-known” BJP candidate, Alok Sanjar.

Similarly, another AAP candidate Alok Agrawal, who has been fighting for the interest of Narmada Dam oustees for almost twenty years in Khandwa-Nimar region, has received only 15,203 votes against 591,912 votes going to BJP's Nandkumar Chouhan. Chouhan had lost the 2009 Lok Sabha elections to Arun Yadav, who is now trailing behind him by nearly 21,000 votes. Yadav is president of the state unit of the Congress.

Anil Trivedi, another active AAP candidate from Indore, has received only 16,864 votes so far. BJP’s Sumitra Mahajan, an eight-time winner from the seat, has received 450,401 votes leaving his rival Satyanarayan Patel far behind at 219,276 votes. The counting is going on.
