Press Trust of India Amethi Detailed security arrangements in coordination with Gujarat police have been put in place by local authorities for BJP leader Narendra Modi's visit for campaigning in the Gandhi bastion here.
Officials of Gujarat police led by a DIG-level officer, police commandos and district police officials carried out an extensive security drill and sanitisation of the BJP prime ministerial candidate's public meeting venue at Dulapur in Gauriganj.
State police sources said that two companies of Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) personnel and 100 state police jawans have been pressed into service to ensure watertight security for Modi.
They added that station officers besides 25 sub-inspectors will be deployed at the venue.
