ABN Amro Bank, a subsidiary undertaking of The Royal Bank of Scotland group, today said that Madan Menon will be the interim country executive for India in the absence of Meera Sanyal.
Sanyal will be on leave from March 21 to May 15 to contest the Lok Sabha elections as an independent candidate from the South Mumbai constituency.
Menon is the managing director and country head for global banking & markets (GBM) India. Till February 2008, he was the co-CEO of Barclays Capital and Barclays Bank India.
In a statement, ABN Amro said that during her leave, Sanyal would not be involved in the operations.
