The special court trying former Pakistan president Pervez Musharraf for high treason Thursday ordered that the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) report be provided to the defence lawyers, a media report said.
The three-judge court, headed by Justice Faisal Arab of the Sindh High Court, heard the case Thursday, Dawn online reported.
Musharraf's lawyer April 25 requested the court to provide him the FIA report, saying that the trial should be fair or else it should not take place at all.
The court has ruled the reports be handed over to Musharraf's lawyers by next hearing May 14.
It also said that the process of recording testimonies will commence from May 22.
The former military strongman has been charged with high treason for suspending the constitution when he declared Emergency rule in 2007.
He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
Musharraf assumed power in Pakistan in a bloodless coup when he dismissed the government of then prime minister Nawaz Sharif in 1999.
He resigned in 2008 as president and went into exile, but returned to Pakistan in March last year to run in the parliamentary elections.
However, a court disqualified him from contesting in the general elections held in May 2013.
