XIMB to offer two-year global management course

Xavier Institute of Management- Bhubaneswar (XIMB), one of the premier B-Schools in the country, has increased the duration of its Global management programme to two years from one year presently.

The full-time Global MBA leadership programme, to be offered from this academic session, will have three terms in each year.

The first year will be in the three-continent Master of Global Management (3C-MGM) format, spanning Asia, Europe and USA.

Students will spend four months each at Antwerp Management School in Belgium, XIMB and Fordham Graduate School of Business-New York. In the first term, the students will be at Antwerp management school from September to December. Then, in the second term, students will spend four months from January to April at XIM-B and the final term at Fordham Graduate School of Business (May to August)

In the following year, the students will study at the Xavier University comprising three terms.

"The XIMB governing body has decided to make it a two-year-Global MBA leadership programme," said Paul Fernandes, director, XIM-B.

"Admissions for this month are open till the end of this month," he added.

Students will be admitted based on the basis of XAT/CAT/MAT/GMAT scores and a personal interview.

The programme aims at providing global perspectives to the student, building international leadership and skill sets for global challenges.

While the students will get exposure to the corporate world in Belgium and gain access to a diverse financial spectrum in New York, they will imbibe social value for global economic development through value based international education at XIMB.

Key courses include global strategy, international law, global marketing management, Indian business management, innovation management, business simulation, integrated performance management and business perspectives in the European, Indian and American contexts. The programme will have an intake of 20 students each from the US, Europe and Asia, including India.
