Aban offshore rises 3.86%

Aban Offshore shares increased 3.86 per cent to close the day at Rs 1,151.05 on commencing drilling contract. Venture Drilling AS, a company that is 50 per cent owned by Sinvest AS, which is a 100 per cent indirect subsidiary of Aban, has commenced an 18 months drilling contract for the Drillship “Deep Venture” with Maersk Oil Angola at a day rate of $ 495,000.

The stock made an intraday high of Rs 1,174.4 and a low of Rs 1,063 with total trading volumes of 14.6 lakh shares. The stock made a 52-week high of Rs 2,539.7 and a low of Rs 224.1.
