Asian markets end in green

Asian markets pared early gains today but managed to end in the green. The Hang Seng added 176 points to 22,289. The Nikkei was up 37 points at 9,608.

The Seoul Composite gained 22 points (1.5%) at 1,592. The Shanghai Composite was up 34 points (1%) at 3,270.

The Straits Times and the Taiwan Weighted were up marginally at 2,795 and 7,678, respectively.

Asian markets have gained today as metal shares jump.

The Hang Seng has added 283 points (1.2%) to 22,396. The Nikkei is up 31 points at 9,603.

The Shanghai Composite has gained 40 points (1.2%) to 3,275. The Taiwan Weighted has jumped 28 points to 7,678.

The Seoul Composite has advanced 23 points (1.5%) to 1,593. The Straits Times has moved up 23 points to 2,795.

The Asian markets opened on a positive note.

The Hang Seng has advanced 245 points or 1% to 22,358. The Nikkei on the other hand has slipped 16 points to 9,556.

The Shanghai Composite Index has added 16 points to 3,252.

The Seoul Composite Index has increased 21 points or 1% to 1,590. The Straits Times and the Taiwan Weighted Index are up over 0.5% at 2,788 and 7,715, respectively.
