Castorseed down 0.8% on profit taking

Castor prices for the October contract lost 0.71%

Castorseed prices turned weak by Rs 31 to Rs 3,708 per quintal in futures trading today on the back of selling pressure at existing higher levels.

Marketmen said after yesterday's rise, traders preferred to book profits, this caused the fall in prices.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, castorseed prices for September month surrendered Rs 31, or 0.83% to Rs 3,708 per quintal, with an open interest of 1,23,860 lots.

Near October contract also lost Rs 27, or 0.71% to Rs 3,801 per quintal, clocking an open interest of 80,150 lots.
