Copper up 0.1% on spot demand

Weakness in base metals at London Metal Exchange limoted the fall

Copper futures for April went up by 50 paise, or 0.11% to Rs 447.40 per kg in 951 lots.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the February contract traded higher by 45 paise, or 0.1%, to Rs 442.55 per kg in 13,008 lots.

Prices went up as speculators enlarged positions supported by firming domesti market demand.

Weakness in base metals at the London Metal Exchange (LME) limited the fall.

At LME, the three months' contract fell 0.2% to $8,207.50 per tonne.
