Edible oils up on increased buying

Select edible oil prices rose by up to Rs 50 per quintal in the wholesale oils and oilseeds market on increased buying by vanaspati millers, supported by pick-up in demand.

Traders said increased buying by vanaspati millers, driven by pick-up in demand amid a firming global trend mainly pushed up select edible oil prices.  

In the national capital, mustard pakki and kachi ghani oils gained Rs 10 each to Rs 770-925 and Rs 925-1,025 per tin, respectively. 

Soyabean refined mill delivery (Indore) gained Rs 50 while soyabean degum (Kandla) advanced by Rs 30 to Rs 5,800 and Rs 5,740, respectively. 

Likewise, crude palm oil (ex-kandla) moved up by Rs 20 to Rs 5,110 per quintal.

Palmolein (rbd) and palmolein (Kandla) oils also rose by by Rs 30 each to Rs 5,700 and Rs 5,410 per quintal, respectively.
