HDFC Bank down 3%; BHEL up 4.5%

Jaiprakash Associates has tumbled 3.9% to Rs 179. HDFC Bank has plunged 2.9% to Rs 1,129.

DLF and Hindustan Unilever have declined 2.7% each to Rs 484 and Rs 226, respectively.

Cipla is down 2.6% at Rs 211. Wipro and Reliance Infrastructure have slipped 1.9% each to Rs 474 and Rs 1,027, respectively.

Maruti has dropped 1.8% to Rs 723. HDFC has lost 1.6% to Rs 2,138.

NTPC and Mahindra & Mahindra have declined 1.3% each to Rs 161 and Rs 570, respectively.

Hindalco and Grasim are down 1.2% each to Rs 175 and Rs 2,184, respectively.

Ranbaxy has surged 4.6% to Rs 568. BHEL has gained 4.5% to Rs 1,587.

TCS has moved up 2.5% to Rs 911. Tata Motors has advanced 2.3% to Rs 519.

ICICI Bank has added 1.7% to Rs 755.

The markets breadth is marginally positive - out of 2,608 stocks traded so far, 1,427 have advanced, 1,109 have declined and 72 are unchanged.
