Hero MotoCorp gains on record sales in May
Shares of Hero MotoCorp were up nearly 2% after the company late Monday said that robust demand for its range products has helped achieve highest-ever monthly sales in May
Hero MotoCorp despatched a record 5,57,890 two-wheeler units in May, its highest-ever sales for any single month. In May 2012 the company had sold 5,56,644 units, the company said in a release.
With demand for its range of products at an unprecendented high, the company sold over 1.1 million units in the combined months of Apr-May 2013, its highest-ever retail sales for any non-festival period.
Over 70,000 shares were traded on both the stock exchanges so far.
