Hero MotoCorp slips on drop in Q4 net

The net profit for the March quarter was Rs 554 crore, a drop of a about 3% from Rs 574 crore in the year-ago period.

Hero MotoCorp has dippped this morning after its net net profit for the quarter ended March dropped a little over three per cent. The stock is quoting at Rs 2317, weaker by Rs  32 or 1.3%, on the BSE. 
 
The world’s largest two-wheeler maker said its net profit for the quarter ended March stood at Rs 554 crore, a drop of a little over three per cent compared to Rs 574 crore in the year-ago period.  Net sales during the quarter stood at Rs 6,456 crore, an increase of a little over six per cent compared to Rs 6,072 crore in the corresponding period last year. 
 
The result was announced after market hours on Wednesday, 28 May 2014.
 
The stock hit a high of Rs 2,351 and a low of Rs 2,268.90 so far. The stock hit a 52-week high of Rs 2,775 on May 16, 2014 and a 52-week low of Rs 1,565 on June 25, 2013.
 
On the BSE, so far 6,187 shares were traded in the counter, compared with an average volume of 18,027 shares in the past one quarter.
