Hindustan Copper is trading higher by nearly 2% at Rs 256 after the company reported a strong set of Q4 numbers late Tuesday.
The Jan-Mar net profit of the company more than doubled to to Rs 137.43 crore and the net sales of the company grew 96.2% to Rs 585.61 crore on y-o-y basis.
Hindustan Copper's net profit for the year ended March 2012 jumped 44.3% to Rs 323.44 crore a incresase of 27.3%.
As many as 1,79,000 shares have changed hands on the BSE compared to its two-week average of 1,26,000 shares. The stock opened at Rs 255 and touched the high of Rs 263 in intra-day deals.
