The Infosys Technologies scrip rose 4 per cent to close the day at Rs 2,181.35 on bagging a five-year applications and outsourcing deal from BP, an oil and gas major. Further financial details are awaited. Infosys will operate a large portion of BP’s business systems.
The stock opened at Rs 2,105 and made an intra-day high of Rs 2,188 and a low of Rs 2,098. Trading volumes stood at 250,000 shares with 42 per cent of shares delivered. The scrip touched its 52-week high today. It’s year's low is Rs 1,040.
