Lead futures for March traded 50 paise, or 0.42%, higher at Rs 119.90 per kg, with a turnover of 691 lots.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange MCX), the April contract also rose by 45 paise, or 0.37%, to trade at Rs 121.10 per kg, in 113 lots.

Rising spot demand at domestic markets supported the trade.

Strong demand from battery-makers, influenced lead prices.

Weak trend at the London Metal Exchange (LME), capped the gains.
