Markets firm; Reliance, L&T gain 4%

The NSE Nifty is up 154 points at 4,142.

Reliance Infrastructure has zoomed over 10% to Rs 832, and Jaiprakash Associates has soared over 9% to Rs 172.

Tata Motors has rallied 7.6% to Rs 405. ITC and
Reliance Communications have surged over 6.5% each to Rs 183 and Rs 443, respectively.

DLF and ICICI Bank have advanced around 5.5% each to Rs 454 and Rs 627, respectively.

BHEL and Bharti Airtel have gained 5% each at Rs 1,573 and Rs 747, respectively.

Grasim, NTPC and HDFC Bank have moved up 4.7% each to Rs 1,750, Rs 169 and Rs 1,048, respectively.

HDFC and Mahindra & Mahindra are up around 4.5% each at Rs 2,100 and Rs 538, respectively.

Reliance and Larsen & Toubro have added over 4% each to Rs 2,062 and Rs 2,498, respectively.

Out of 2,653 stocks traded, 2,078 have advanced, 513 have declined and 62 are unchanged.
